Dr. Tom Frieden, former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and president and CEO of Resolve to Save Lives, joins Weekend TODAY to discuss the decision to admit President Donald Trump to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and start him on remdesivir. “Because the president is 74 and because of his weight, he is in an increased risk category. Even at that age, even with the weight issue that he’s got, there’s an 85-90% likelihood that he’ll be just fine through this,” he says.
