Thai soccer team rescue effort remains positive despite first fatality, diver says
Bruce Konefe, an expert American diver working among rescuers trying to save the trapped Thai soccer team, joins TODAY from Pattaya, Thailand, to give an update on the operation. He said that, despite the death of a diver working to bring oxygen to the boys, the rescue team remains optimistic. “Diving is one of the options, but there are other options we’re looking at, maybe bringing them out through the top,” he said.
