Surveillance reveals Yemen Navy SEAL raid might have been compromised


The Pentagon says the purpose January’s deadly Navy SEAL raid in Yemen was to gather intelligence about Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. In an interview airing this week on Sunday TODAY, NBC News consultant Sean Naylor says a decision was made to proceed with the raid despite overhead surveillance revealing individuals moving to fighting positions, “essentially getting ready for the assault force.”
