Study reveals link between distracted parents and child drownings

A new study from the German Lifeguard Association has revealed that cellphone distractions such as talking and texting are at the heart of a growing number of children drownings. Safety experts say it has become a critical problem. Drownings are the second-leading cause of death in children between the ages of 1 and 14, according to the CDC.
