Sesame Street joins effort to educate children in Rohingya camps


For 700,000 Rohingya children who are refugees from the genocide in Myanmar, Elmo and two new Muppet characters from Sesame Street could make a big difference both emotionally and intellectually. NBC’s Cynthia McFadden traveled to the Rohingya camps in Bangladesh with Sherrie Westin of Sesame Workshop just before the pandemic shutdown.
