More than 48 candidates are vying to replace late House Rep. Don Young in an open primary being done all by mail for the first time in Alaska’s history. A few notable names on the ballot include former vice presidential nominee and Alaska governor Sarah Palin and a man named Santa Clause who is currently the mayor of the North Pole.
