John Hinckley Jr, the now-61-year-old man who tried to assassinate President Ronald Reagan in 1981, is expected to be released from a mental hospital in Washington on Saturday. According to the judge, Hinckley has shown “no signs of psychotic symptoms” for almost 30 years, but some neighbors are still concerned. NBC’s Hans Nichols reports for TODAY.Sept. 10, 2016
