Report: Medical errors are third leading cause of death in US

New research suggests that medical mistakes are now the third-leading cause of death in the US behind heart disease and cancer. The report in the "British Medical Journal" finds that at least 250,000 deaths every year can be linked to errors in medical care caused by everything from wrong medications to faulty computer programs.May 4, 2016
