Overnight police stepped in as protesters attempted to tear down a statue of Andrew Jackson near the White House, and similar scenes have taken place across the country in recent weeks. Meanwhile, a statue of Theodore Roosevelt near the Museum of Natural History in New York will soon be coming down.
