Penn State frat member gets house arrest, probation for Tim Piazza hazing death
Ryan Burke, a former Penn State University fraternity member, was sentenced to three months of house arrest, 27 months of probation, 100 hours of community service and about $3,000 in fines in a legal trial related to the hazing death of Tim Piazza. The Pennsylvania attorney general was seeking jail time for Burke, the first and only Penn State frat member to plead guilty to charges related to Piazza’s death.
