John Hanlin, the Douglas County Sheriff handling the mass shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon, tells TODAY’s Matt Lauer that overnight investigators uncovered a number of weapons belonging to the man identified as killing nine. He said he hadn’t heard of any warning signs coming from local resident Christopher Harper Mercer. Hanlin declined to comment on the letter that he reportedly wrote to Vice President Biden the wake of the Sandy Hook shootings expressing his opposition to potential gun control legislation.Oct. 2, 2015
