One year out from election, how does this year compare to 2007?
Back in 2007, Hillary Clinton led Barack Obama 47 percent to 25 percent – yet Obama went on to win the presidency. Rudy Giuliani was ahead on the GOP side with 33 percent, but John McCain, then at 16 percent, eventually became the Republican candidate. This raises the question: Do polls this far ahead of the 2016 election have much bearing on what may actually happen?
