Oakland warehouse fire death toll will likely rise; fire chief explains why

Oakland Fire Battalion Chief Melinda Drayton, on the scene of the massive warehouse fire that has killed at least 33 people, tells TODAY that “we think we have cleared approximately 70 percent of the building” but adds, “unfortunately, the fire fatality will go higher.” She says, “We still don’t know how the fire started,” and describes the “tremendously scary situations for firefighters entering and people trying to get out.”
