Roger Ailes has officially resigned as the CEO of Fox News following sexual harassment allegations. Author Gabriel Sherman, who wrote a biography of Ailes, tells TODAY that while Ailes’ first instinct was to fight to stay at the successful network he founded, as he saw “the writing on the wall,” his lawyers quickly worked on negotiating an exit plan. He is legally enjoined from working in journalism elsewhere, but he could turn back to political consulting, where his career began. (Run time: 3:13)July 22, 2016
