North Korea claims it conducted a successful hydrogen bomb test

Overnight, North Korea claimed it successfully detonated a hydrogen bomb underground. The announcement followed a magnitude-6.3 seismic event recorded in North Korea – global analysts estimating an explosion many times more powerful than the nuclear bombs that leveled Hiroshima and Nagasaki in World War II. The rogue nation also says the bomb was designed to be loaded onto an intercontinental ballistic missile. NBC’s Ron Allen reports for Sunday TODAY from Seoul, South Korea.
