North Carolina café allows customers to pay what they can
A Place at the Table in Raleigh, North Carolina, is a restaurant founded by 27-year-old Maggie Kane that allows customers to pay what they’re able to, in order to help those struggling. While critics said the idea would never work, Kane has given away almost 7,000 meals to those in need in one year alone.
