NASA has officially renamed its Washington, D.C., headquarters in honor of Mary Jackson, the agency’s first African American female engineer. She overcame segregation and gender bias to achieve that feat and worked at NASA for over 30 years. Jackson’s story was portrayed in the 2016 Oscar-winning movie “Hidden Figures.”Feb. 27, 2021
