More than 500 wildfires burning in California, spurring evacuations for thousands


More than 500 wildfires are burning out of control in California, scorching more than 770,000 acres of land and destroying more than 500 structures. Gov. Gavin Newsom says nearly all of the state’s firefighters have been exhausted, forcing officials to call in help from ten other states and two countries.
