Miss Teen USA Twitter trouble: Winner apologizes for racist tweets

01:04

Karlie Hay was crowned Miss Teen USA Saturday night in Las Vegas, but just hours after her shining moment, the pageant winner was under fire. Social media users uncovered past tweets from Hay showing she used the N-word on several occasions. Hay apologized via Twitter, and the Miss Universe Organization confirmed they are sticking by their winner, saying, "The language Karlie Hay used is unacceptable at any age and in no way reflects the values of the Miss Universe Organization."
