Melinda Gates talks about Capitol attack, pandemic, vaccine rollout

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has committed nearly $2 billion to the global pandemic response. TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie spoke with Melinda Gates about the pandemic, the vaccine rollout, and last week’s attack on the U.S. Capitol. “We need to reckon with the fact that this president incited this mob,” Gates says of the attack. She says that “it’s the federal government’s responsibility” to coordinate the vaccine rollout and talks about the toll the pandemic is taking on women in the workforce.
