Meet the pair who saved 11,000 dogs by turning their home into a shelter

Danny Robertshaw and Ron Danta turned their 15-acre South Carolina farm into a safe haven for dozens of dogs waiting for their forever families. When Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, the two knew they wanted to do more to help animals, eventually launching Danny and Ron’s Rescue right in their home. Since then, they’ve found homes for more than 11,000 dogs, a heartwarming journey detailed in the new documentary “Life in the Doghouse.”
