Mark Halperin ‘surprised’ Obama didn’t offer new ideas in address

03:26

Bloomberg Politics’ Mark Halperin tells TODAY that he was “surprised” President Obama didn’t offer any new ideas about fighting ISIS in his Oval Address office Sunday night, and also that he did not reach out to Republicans to work with him. NBC’s Andrea Mitchell agrees that “to not have a new strategy… really is a problem” and thinks Obama should have made such an address right after the Paris attacks: “The country is really scared.” Says Halperin, “This is not business as usual.”
