Major earthquake hits off Japan’s coast; tsunami warning lifted

A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck off the coast of Japan early Tuesday morning. Officials say it was an aftershock of the massive 2011 earthquake that spawned a deadly tsunami and caused a meltdown at the Fukushima nuclear power plant. At least 14 people were injured, but no major damage was reported. All tsunami warnings have now been lifted.
