Laura Bush: ‘We Are Afghan Women’ is a ‘story of hope’

05:09

Former first lady Laura Bush sits down with TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie to talk about the new book “We Are Afghan Women: Voices of Hope,” whose publication she championed. She says she was intrigued by Afghanistan even as a child, and says she hopes that our future president continues to pay attention to women’s issues there. She also expresses her disappointment that her brother-in-law Jeb Bush has ended his White House bid, saying he “would have made a great president,” and she reminisces about the late Nancy Reagan.
