Known as the star of “Scandal,” Kerry Washington, portrays Anita Hill, the law professor who nearly derailed the Supreme Court nomination of Justice Clarence Thomas, in the new HBO movie “Confirmation.” She tells Matt Lauer that “there was a lot of emotion” in her home during the Thomas confirmation hearings in 1991.
