Kenneth Branagh: ‘Dunkirk’ is ‘a white-knuckle ride’
The World War II epic “Dunkirk,” about the rescue of 400,000 Allied soldiers from Dunkirk, France, in 1940, is already getting Oscar buzz. Sir Kenneth Branagh, who plays the officer in charge, tells TODAY that the film benefited from Christopher Nolan’s direction and the fact that it was shot where the events actually occurred.
