Kellogg’s to change gender-biased cereal boxes after 8-year-old’s online petition
An 8-year-old girl in Australia wrote a letter to Kellogg’s after noticing only male athletes appear on the backs of its cereal boxes. When the company provided a less-than-satisfactory response, the girl started an online petition. The company eventually told NBC News that it would commit to more inclusive packaging. NBC’s Dylan Dreyer, Hallie Jackson, Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones and Stephanie Gosk discuss this and other topics.
