Judge blocks Obama rule extending overtime pay to US workers

A federal court blocked a rule by the Obama administration that would have made an estimated 4 million more American workers eligible for overtime pay beginning Dec. 1. The court stated that the rule exceeded the authority of the Department of Labor. The agency said it's now considering its legal options.
