Jason Kander exits Kansas City mayoral race, citing PTSD
Jason Kander, the rising Democratic political star and favorite to become Kansas City’s next mayor, has suddenly pulled out of the race. Kander, former U.S. Army captain who served in Afghanistan, cited post-traumatic stress disorder and depression. NBC’s Stephanie Gosk reports for TODAY.
