ISIS detainees flee prisons as US troops pull out of northern Syria


Hundreds of ISIS detainees in northern Syria have been breaking free from detention camps in the area as Turkey continues its military offensive on the Kurdish people. As U.S. troops continue to pull out, the Syrian army has stepped in to help. NBC’s Richard Engel reports for TODAY from Istanbul and NBC national security analyst Jeremy Bash weighs in.
