Illinois Gov. J. B. Pritzker: ‘We’re competing for ventilators with FEMA’


With more than 1,000 coronavirus cases in the state, Illinois began enforcing a strict stay-at-home order over the weekend. Joining TODAY from Chicago, Gov. J. B. Pritzker says “people are doing what they’re supposed to me doing,” He says that Illinois is competing with FEMA, foreign countries and other states for ventilators and calls for President Trump to enforce the Defense Production Act. Regarding the $2 trillion aid package being efforted on Capitol Hill, he says “money needs to get in the hands of the middle class, the working class.”
