Horse racing returns to New York, and basketball may soon come back too


After 80 days of no sports in New York state, horse racing returned to Belmont Wednesday, but while the races were televised, there were no fans in the stands. Meanwhile, ESPN reports that the NBA’s board of governors will vote Thursday to approve a proposal to resume pro basketball season in a revised format. TODAY’s Carson Daly reports.
