Alligators that repeatedly get too close to people or attack family pets are considered “nuisance gators” and will often be trapped by licensed contractors. NBC’s Kerry Sanders reports for TODAY on meeting a family who uses sound generators and fishing rods to trap the predators. With new public concern over alligators mounting following the death of 2-year-old Lane Graves at a Disney resort in Orlando, Florida, these trappers say there is no way for Disney to control the gator population to make it safe because there are too many lurking in the waters.
