Government scrambles to reunite immigrant children as deadline passes


The Trump administration’s deadline to reunite immigrant children with their parents has passed as of midnight Thursday. The government is scheduled to provide more details of whether it in fact met the deadline to a federal judge later Friday. Meanwhile, immigration advocates say the scramble to reunite these families has been rocky. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports for TODAY.
