Government misses court-ordered deadline to reunite youngest migrant children with families

The federal government said it won’t meet Tuesday’s court-ordered deadline to reunite the youngest migrant children, who were separated from their parents after crossing the southern border ilegally. On Monday, a Justice Department lawyer said only two children had been reunited so far, and that 54 of 102 children are expected to be reunited Tuesday. A federal judge has asked the federal government to provide an updated timeline on Tuesday morning, Gabe Gutierrez reports for TODAY from El Paso, Texas.
