General Motors to cut nearly 15K jobs; 5 plants to close

General Motors is cutting nearly 15,000 factory and white collar jobs with plans to close five plants in the Baltimore area, Detroit area, Ohio and Canada in 2019. Though the company says President Trump’s steel and aluminum tariffs have cost the $1.4 billion, the cutbacks are about changing consumer tastes. NBC’s Anne Thompson reports for TODAY.
