Former FBI profiler: Trip wire suggests a level of sophistication
NBC News analyst and former FBI profiler Clint Van Zandt says the bomber in Austin, Texas, appears to be evolving after the latest bombing was potentially detonated by a trip wire. “This is something we see with serial offenders … they learn as they go on.” At the same time, he says, police are trying to understand what the motive was. He adds that now that the bomber has their attention, this is the time for the bomber to make it known.
