Primary voters headed to the polls in Arizona to fill the state’s other Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Jeff Flake. Rep. Martha McSally easily won the GOP nomination, setting up a battle in November midterms against Democrat Kyrsten Sinema. In Florida, GOP primary voters backed Trump’s pick, Republican Rep. Ron DeSantis, in the race for governor. DeSantis will face progressive Democrat and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, the first African-American to be a major-party nominee for governor in the state.
