First genetically edited babies born in China, researcher claims


A Chinese researcher claims that he helped make the world's first genetically edited babies. The scientist, He Jiankui of Shenzhen, says he altered the DNA of twin girls, but there is no independent confirmation of the claim. If true, it would be a profound leap of science and ethics.
