Dr. Stephen Hahn, commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration and a member of the coronavirus task force, tells TODAY that face masks are effective, saying “we have the power to slow the spread of this virus.” He says the FDA “will not cut corners” in determining the safety of a potential vaccine, and says “it’s possible” there could be a vaccine by the end of 2020.
