Facebook exec Sheryl Sandberg: We don’t think fake news swayed election


Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook, joins TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie to look back at the social network’s year, and notes that the 2016 election was its most discussed topic for the second year in a row. Sandberg says that the company wants to cut down on hoaxes and fake news, but doesn’t think they swayed the election.
