Emily Blunt: Female ‘Sicario’ character ‘magnifies the brutality’

In the new movie “Sicario,” Emily Blunt plays an FBI agent caught up in the drug war along the U.S.-Mexico border. She tells TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie that one potential financer of the film wanted her character to be male, but that the screenwriter stuck to the strong female lead as it was written.
