Elizabeth Smart open up about moving on after abduction, new job and motherhood
It has been more than a decade since Elizabeth Smart was abducted from her home in the middle of the night. Her experience inspired her new role as correspondent for the syndicated program “Crime Watch Daily.” Smart says this was important to do because of the pivotal role media played in her own kidnapping and in the work she has done since then to help get messages out. She also shares how motherhood has changed her view on crime, saying she realizes how tough her kidnapping must have been on her parents.
