Speaking live on TODAY, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump said “I still am loyal” to Corey Lewandowski, the campaign manager he fired Monday. He said his daughter Ivanka, who reportedly agreed with her siblings that Lewandowski should be ousted, “really respects” the former campaign manager. He said that the press is treating him “unbelievably unfairly” but cited polls said that he was “practically even” with Hillary Clinton. Regarding his lagging fundraising, he said “I understand money better than anybody” and said that if necessary, he will self-fund his national campaign, “but it would nice to have some help from the party.” (Run time: 6:09)June 21, 2016
