Diabetes drug ‘Victoza’ found to lower risk of stroke, cardiovascular death


Researchers at the University of North Carolina have shown that "Victoza," a drug used to help control blood sugar levels in Type 2 diabetes, also decreases the overall risk of heart attack, stroke or cardiovascular death for people with Type 2 diabetes. The drug was also associated with a reduction in kidney disease and death from all causes. (Run time :29)
