Dakota Access Pipeline to be rerouted, in victory for protesters


After a months-long standoff, protesters in North Dakota can rejoice in victory: The Army Corps of Engineers announced that it will look for an alternate route for its pipeline project near native lands of the Sioux tribe. Members of the tribe and their supporters have been trying to block construction of the pipeline to prevent damage to the water supply of the nearby reservation.
