Crews ‘sacrificing’ alligators in attempt to find missing boy at Disney resort

Crews searched the lagoon at a Disney resort throughout the night, looking for a 2-year-old child who was dragged away from his father by an alligator, according to Nick Wiley, executive director of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Wiley says millions of people swim in Florida waters every year and it’s safe, despite this “rare occurrence” at the Seven Seas Lagoon at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. He also says that multiple alligators have been pulled from the lagoon and are being sacrificed to determine “if they might have been involved” in the attack. (Run time: 2:56)
