COVID-19 cases spike in summer surge


The number of new COVID-19 cases per day has doubled over the past three weeks, with the highly contagious delta variant accounting for nearly 60 percent of new cases. The surge comes as vaccination have dropped 54 percent in just the past week. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports for TODAY from Little Rock, Arkansas.
