Wednesday was America’s grimmest day in the pandemic yet, with more than 3,100 deaths and hospitals running out of beds. In hard-hit California, new lockdowns are being imposed, but it may not be enough to stem the tide. NBC national correspondent Miguel Almaguer reports for TODAY from Los Angeles.
