Dr. Craig Spencer, director of global health in emergency medicine at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City, tells TODAY that “it’s nearly impossible to understand what family members are going through” during the coronavirus pandemic, making it important for health care workers to help connect patients with them. He says he is seeing a decrease in coronavirus cases, “which is absolutely wonderful,” but adds “we still have a lot of deaths every day.”
